George Allen "Buddy" Miles, 1947-2008


Condolences to the family of Buddy Miles, who passed away last night.  He was, of course, best known as 1/3 of Jimi Hendrix’s "Band of Gypsies", along with bassist Billy Cox.  Cause of his death is unknown. Ike Turner passes


Early reports are in that Ike Turner–credited as one of rock’s architects, despite the infamy he gained through his abuse of Tina Turner–died today in his home outside of San Diego, California.  Some reports here and here.  He was 76.
