That’s right: Come out to St. Vitus’s in Brooklyn to support Laina Dawes’s official launch of here book on black women in the hardcore and metal scenes,  What Are You Doing Here?.  Really thrilled for Laina, who seems to have gotten a lot of good coverage on the book:

Cool, too, that the event features special performances by Tamar-Kali and Militia.  Definitely some face-peeling ish.

There’s no cover, so come out, show your support, and please buy a book.  Laina’s even got some dope merch available here.
