The Newest Covergirl: Janelle Monae

Janelle Monae goes from cybergirl to Covergirl. Boo-yah!

@janellemonae @wondaland

Slow and steady win the race, indeed.  Janelle Monae has gone from quirky outsider to performing at Nobel Peace Prize ceremonies to being the newest face of Covergirl.  Here at Bold As Love Magazine, we can’t be any happier for her. It’s been at least four long years of hard, smart work that’s yielding some serious dividends.

I had the opportunity to get on the phone with Janelle back in 2010 after The ArchAndroid was released.  You can hear that interview at this link and, if you like, skip to about 52 minutes, where the interview begins.
