Great to see that longtime Black Rock Coalition supporter Michael Hill has a new album coming August 28 with his unit known as Blues Mob.  Michael and his various incarnations–Michael Hill’s Bluesland and now the smaller, 3-4 person unit known as Blues Mob–have been on the scene since before I joined the BRC.  Not only have they mixed rock, blues, funk, jazz and Caribbean rhythms, but the band has never been afraid to confront social and political topics of the day.

“U.S. Blues Again” continues that tradition.  Take a listen.
