UPCOMING: Nomsa Mazwai @ DROM — March 9

An artist and Fulbright scholar takes the NYC stage

At the very least, Nomsa Mazwai is a double-threat.  I mean, how many Fulbright scholars have also won the South African equivalent of a Grammy? I can name one, and that would be Ms. Mazwai.

Friday, you’ll have a chance to experience her blend of Afropop, drum n bass and African funk when she takes the stage at Drom on NYC’s Lower East Side.  The fab dj shErOck* warms up the crowd.  And I hear there will be dancers!
