I’ve said it before: Shelley and her band are one album away from blowin’ up! And maybe this will be the one.  Dope enough, in fact, that the band made it onto both compilations.

Here’s the deal: She’s taken to Indie-Go-Go, a crowdfunding site to raise money for the production.  So, if you dig her “rock-soul-electronica hybrid, sounding like a feminist version of the Brooklyn Funk Essentials,” then throw a few buck in the kitty. She’s lined up Toshi Reagon to produce, whose masterful touch was heard on Lizz Wright’s recent release.
