UPCOMING: Bitches Brew Revisited — June 19

Bitchesbrew

I can already tell Saturday is going to be a crazy day.  I'll be jetting from URB Alt uptown at St. Nicholas Park back to Prospect Park for this celebration of the 40th Anniversary of this Miles Davis landmark album.

I mean, look at the lineup: Graham Haynes (a friend and former client), James "Blood" Ulmer, DJ Logic, and Lonnie Plaxico (or maybe Melvin Gibbs, I'm not sure) and Cindy Blackman holding down the rhythm section!  How crazy is this!  And all for this spacey, atmospheric masterpiece.

This is a FREE show, so be aware that gates open at 6:30. Mike Stern, an alum of Miles' band opens the night.
