Tuesday, June 8 on WRFB: Janelle Monae

Janelle-monae-no-jacket

That's right!  Check out my segment, Sounds from the New Black Imagination, when I'll share an interview I recorded with Janelle last week.  No, you will not hear it here on Boldaslove.us first!  Ya gotta tune into WRFB–Radio Free Brooklyn.

Do so and you learn about the following:

  • How being part of the "iPod generation" affects her musical sensibilities
  • The kind of music she's really trying to make
  • The reason behind the uniform

My co-hosts and I are on from 7pm-11pm.  One small change in tomorrow's schedule: Shelley Nicole won't be there due to a last minute performance opportunity.  Therefore, tomorrow's schedule will look something like this:

YankeeZulu: 7:00 – 8:20 p.m

Christian John Wikane's Flying Perfect Parlor:
8:20 – 9:40 p.m.

…New Black Imagination: 9:40 -
11:00 p.m. (Janelle's interview will air somewhere near the midpoint of my show)

While you wait–burning with anticipation, I'm sure–check out the remix to Janelle's "Tightrope" here.

Remember: You can grab the audio stream tonight beginning at 7PM EDT from this page, brooklynmovielabs.com/radio.
