I have to admit: I'm just now really paying attention to Sevendust. But better late than never, right? This metal quintet falls into a group of bands that my homegirl, Laina, has been telling me to check out, and includes other bands like God Forbid, Killswitch Engage, Straight Line Stitch and Skindred. They're all hard rock/metal bands with black lead singers, but I haven't given any of them much of a listen.
Anyway, I just got the album yesterday and decided to check out their new video, which was released along with their new album Cold Day Memory on April 20.
So, yeah, I'm digging in here. Lajon Witherspoon has a good voice. Also cool to see that brotha's parents are still kinda fly. Check 'em out backstage at a show last year.
