LISTENING POST: Bad Rabbits — "Stick Up Kids" + Tour Dates

Is it me, or are a bunch of artists resurrecting sounds from the 80s? It’s not direct quotations, mind you, but shades, nods and winks.  Case in point is Boston outfit Bad Rabbits.  Had a chance to catch them earlier this year at BAM Cafe on a bill with Boldaslove.us favorite The Smyrk.  Great energy and a sound that’s full of funk, soul and–I dunno–hip hop smoothed out on that R&B tip?  That’ll work.
