Christmas Wishes

Another Christmas and holiday season is here.  I hope you and your families are having an enjoyable time together.  Also, I want to thank you all for your continued readership, feedback and support of this blog.

Christmas is many things to many people.  But, after the gifts, the food, the parties, an seeing friends, family and loved ones, many people start using this time between now and the end of the year to lay out their plans for the new year.  I understand this impulse.

However, I’d also suggest that we take this time to be truly and deeply grateful for the year that’s coming to a close.  Be grateful for the whole year, the good, the bad and the ugly.  In the case of the bad and the ugly, it was something you needed to learn.  And, after all, if you’re sitting around reading this, then that means you’re still here and only slightly worse for wear.  In the case of the good, take time to savor and appreciate it.  Replay all those good moments in your mind and let them build your confidence.  Those are the prayers you should take with you as you prepare to face a new year of opportunities.

And, lastly, don’t forget the season is about giving.  Please give in whatever ways you can because there’s someone out there who needs it very much.  Or, as Tony Robbins just sent out via Twitter:

"The 3 things we crave most in life — happiness, freedom, & peace of mind — are always attained by giving them to someone else." Give now!

Well said.  Happy holidays!
