The Black alt music festival season gets underway in June with URB Alt!

The brainchild of Boston Fielder, URB Alt returns for its fourth year, pouring another thick four-day brew of music and art on June 20, 24, 26 and 27.  Triangulating between NYC hotspots in Williamsburg, Harlem and Fort Greene, this looks to be an exciting lineup of musical and visual talent.

Speaking of the visual, the June 24 offers a music and video/animation workshop from 6-7:45pm, followed by an art exhibition from 8-11 that includes musical performances throughout.  All of this takes place at Harlem School of the Arts.  This date is really about creating a cool space for folks to talk, to interact.

Three of 4 dates are FREE (sorry, you've gotta fork over a whole $7 at the June 20 kickoff.  Way it goes!)

Check out the main festival page on URB Alt.  Also, take a look at the artist overviews that Boston is building here.
