d00d lil wayne sucks and there is nothing we can do about it, he jst raps about him bein better then all of us, LOL
and bsides this is not ROCK at all hes only holding a guitar..cheap ass guitar 2 !
i mean seriosly what the hell was he thinking? he ruin rap or hip hop what ever you call it. and now this?

Although the vocals could use improving (Hey Mick Jagger made it with poor vocals) it is so refreshing to see something other than the no talent required Rap. Black folk step out of the box and get them creative juices flowing!!!!

What about Michael Franti, Raul Midon? There are Black folks out there not doing Hip Hop but making a positive and needed impact on music in general. You forgot about Fishbone and Living Colour, big time rockers!

OK, it’s…uh…not good. But I’m with you, I’ll give him a pass. Anything that gives young Black people the notion that there’s nothing wrong with thinking outside the box is a plus. Every butterfly wingflap helps.

When Kayne put out his “Phil Collins” album as I call it, I said that it was neat in the sense that few artists could change the game that way.

We’re about 20+ years past time when Aerosmith and Run DMC did their historic collaboration and now, we’ve got multi-platinum selling rappers deciding to completely change genres.

The fact that this is even a passable attempt, shows how savvy and huge these guys are becoming as musicians. I’m fine with it, because well…even the lamest rock albums will sometimes get play and Weezy has been rhyming on enough cameos that I’m fine with him switching for a bit and giving us something to talk about.
